Real Estate Attorney And Real Estate Broker

REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY
AND REAL ESTATE AGENT

My motto is “a good deal more for a good deal less”.

I am a real estate broker and also a real estate attorney. That can be a real advantage to you. If you hire me as your listing broker or your buyer broker, I will also serve as your legal counsel on matters pertaining to your transaction. I will do that for no extra charge. That will give you peace of mind and save you money.

In many real estate transactions, legal issues arise. Buyer or seller or both are well advised to retain an attorney in addition to their broker. That is what Form 21 says. Sometimes you don’t realize you need an attorney until you are already “in pretty deep”. If you buy or sell through me, I will be there from the beginning to the end. And I will not bill you by the hour. People hate being billed by the hour, and I hate keeping track of my billable hours.

All real estate forms include advice to “seek independent counsel”. But how do you go about finding an attorney experienced in transactional law? If I am your agent, you need look no further.

Since 1980 I have worked as an attorney structuring and closing real estate transactions of all different kinds, including residential and commercial transactions, land deals, business opportunity transactions, seller-financed transactions, and lease-option deals.

As an attorney I have more tools available to put deals together. Real estate agents are only authorized to fill out forms approved by the multiple listing agency. When there are complexities, they must advise you to bring in an attorney. This can sometimes slow transactions down. The attorney may not understand what is going on.

I ran an escrow department in my law office for twenty years. I ran Deal Mortgage Corporation for four years. I am still a licensed mortgage loan officer, although my license is inactive. I still do mortgages but only commercial mortgages.

I have a varied background in real estate law and mortgage law, and so I can be a lot of help in figuring out how to put deals together and get them closed.

Feel free to call me if you think I might be able to help. I do not charge for initial inquiries.
